I was wondering if any SF members ever tried Swing Trader by IBD. If so, was it helpful and worth $69 per month. Thank you for your thoughts.

Re; "Swing Trader" by IBD: I'm a full time "Day Trader" and I took a free trial about a month or so ago looking for a system that might complement my style. I dropped it after about 2 weeks because IBD' s Swing Trader system had more transactions on a daily basis that resulted in too many distractions to my main day trading activities.. It became hectic.

I'm not comfortable just trading/copying everything they did and felt it necessary to spend time examining each possible buy or sell trade that they did. For appropriate money management reasons, they buy and sell in 1/2 or third or full "units", each requiring attention. I'm not saying their system is good or bad. I'm just saying it wasn't for me..

@SteveMc, Thanks for the information. Did IBD notify you via text or email? About how many buy and sell alerts did you get every day? Were you able to obtain any profitable trades after reviewing their possible selections? Thanks. Ron

@ron22...they offer a free trial. you can cancel anytime. keep in mind; a signal is just a signal till you trade it.

@Virgin Trader, I agree. The filter might help you find a potential stock, but the trader has to determine whether to buy it or not as well as the entry and exit price.

@ron22

Signals are via email or the site. The amount of signals depends on the market and whatever system they have plus they usually like to place stops at 2-3% levels and look for 3x the the return.

if u like to follow a "plan"; it may be for you (wasn't for me). You may or may not have time to dissect the signal specially if the stock is moving on you.

@VirginTrader

I like to follow a plan; however, not having time to dissect the signal could be a problem. I guess the only way that I will know is to try the free trial. Thanks a lot. Ron
