@karennma,

You are not stupid. tsla is very volatile. Also, if you bought at the high of $502. you would still be down over 16%.

A majority of recommended stocks (shop, aapl, zm, amd, amzn, sq, goog, msft,) are tech because of 5G and working from home. I believe in 5G going forward. Do you think it is okay to have a portfolio that is 80% tech for 4-8 years buy and hold? Previously I believed in a diversified portfolio.

@karennma,
I agree that the market is due for a crash. The Fed will try to delay it until after the election, but they might not succeed.

@karennma,

A lot of my stopped out stocks did bounce. Only a few did not bounce.
I like your " use alerts" idea very much. I will use alerts going forward. Thanks a lot.

@karen, I understand that you are frustrated. I have also been stopped out many times, but I am too nervous about taking a very large loss without a stop in place. I will try to use a mental stop when I can watch the screen, but that is not always possible.
Does anyone have any ideas other than reducing my position size? Unfortunately smaller risk also means smaller gains.

I agree with Mac. We should avoid politics. Most members are here to talk about trading and investing. If you want to talk politics please start a new post and call it "Politics" so that I can ignore it. Thanks.

@styliten
@compound_gains

Thank you both for the filters. What do you recommend for entry points? Also, what type of exit profit targets and stop losses would work best with these filters? Thanks a lot.
