trump, again and the economy, huh: google "Obama and the stock market" Forbes article(a conservative mag)will tell you the S and P index went up 252% under Obama, the market goes up when earnings go up, earnings go up when companies do well, and don't forget where the economy was when obama took office,
trumps economy is merely a continuation of the beautiful weekly incline of the chart of the S and P index.
what a beautifull incline it was!

oh ,and guess why your 401 did not go up under Obama , you had a bad manager, one that shorted the black president.

@ klynn,
If you're IN, good! I think you've been IN since Obama (and NOT trading).
NOT trading is even better because that IS a helluva "wave" to ride from 2010 to now.

Sadly, I learned my most important lesson late.
The things I could've bought and held, I'm not gonna buy now .. at "all time highs".
But for those of you who got in early and STAYED IN?
Party on!
$$$$$$$$

argue with the chart, that great s and p incline from 2009 to 2016 , do you doubt the chart?
whether im in or out doesn't matter , the chart holds the truth! what an incline!

The other sad thing is being "old" ....
When you're past 70, the gov't requires that you WITHDRAW funds from your 401K.

@ klynn,
Not sure what your point is, but I've never "traded" the S&P index.
However, I'm fully aware of what an SP chart looks like.
I think I've also made it clear, that for some people, a buy & hold strategy is superior to trading.
My guess is, that's why "FOUR" isn't here anymore.
For some peeps, it's easier to B&H and ride the wave.
Frankly, as a retiree, I've found trading to be tedious and too much work.

logic, karen, the s and p index is the mean of the stock market, matter of fact, trump quotes it all the time,
trump merely had the good fortune to get in at the right time, the incline and the chart of the s and p show
a great economy for the years Obama was in. trump is merely continuing on.....
