I keep getting error message saying: invalid date found in file. I have tried multiple date combinations ( dd/mm/yy, mm/dd/yy, dd-mm-yy, etc) as described in the user manual, but keep getting the error. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

Never-mind- I was able to find a way around it. Exported the CSV file into notepad ( the columns for symbol,date,volume,open,high,low,close) are separated by commas. Uploaded prices without any issues this way :)

Hoping someone can help me out. Started using the program but last night while doing the update the program crashed (closed) and now I can't update any prices. I have been using google finance for the updates. I have even tried resetting computer back to default (factory) setting and then installing StrataSearch again but the same thing happens. Does anyone have any ideas to fix this? Really like the program but its now not usable. Thank you for any help.

Reinstalling should have corrected any errors - you are aware that you will not get any intraday data, right? The data used is EOD so the last day would have been last night. Not sure if this helps or not.

Thanks for your input. Yes, it started last night while getting EOD data. Is there a way to create a data file with only 1 or 2 symbols? I can try to download them and see if ti works. It appears to get through until about symbol ACH then dies.

I've had issues with Google data as well. One year of data is generally OK, but further back it quickly went way off. Since that I update manually using the ASCI file download option.

Same problem last night with Google data, though my attempts made it as far as AMGP, Tried 3 times, 3 halts followed a minute later with a StrataSearch program crashes, then I gave up.

Yes - there is a file called symbols.csv that can be changed or copied. Go to File -> Import Prices and you will see it under Google Finance Settings

My SS imports prices but crashes frequently for some reason.

Google price update works best when prices have settled, after 17:30 NY time.
