quick follow up
On SF when I look back 1 year ago, how do I find draw the channel for that time frame, as when I use for ex a 45 day channel, SF only draws the channel for the last 45 days.
for example, If I want to find the channel for the last 60 days and then find the channel between 120 and 61 days before, how can I display on the charts.
I am new to charts, so trying to understand how to get the 2 sets of channels displayed? Thanks a lot!!!

to add more clarity to my previous question and to keep it simple, how can I see 2 channels for a stock , one from Jan 1 - June 30 and another channel from July 1 to Dec 31. Thanks

Linear Regression on SF doesn't work for anything other than the present. Your best bet is to draw the channels yourself in the past. After that, they will stay on the chart each time you pull it up.

One possible (partial and not perfect) solution is to use Custom Linear Regression:

sample code:
This would draw linear regression channel from 30 days ago but overlay/align the linear regression on top of the current linear regression so one can eye ball for significant changes instantly.
