One clarification, if you are gonna be short Vega you need to be short delta against it.

XIV....had to check twice, trading at $10 in af. Some accounts(real) will will be cleaned out. Hope Kevin didn't get hurt too badly.
Something I notice here for years, very few traders not using stop/loss. This is the kinda thing that will wipe you out....glty

Any one who lost or got burned in XIV should have got out before it crashed . People are just greedy I sad to say.

I kept checking support levels and it kept blowing through them.
Credit Suisse lost over $550 Million on XIV in less than 24 hours. Credit Suisse cannot even afford to buy that green chair and hula hoop yogi the bear is playing with in the video.

SPY will probably stay below 283.35 before the meeting.
This market scares the crap out of me. I've moved most of my money into private equity, long term portfolio still intact with insurance(options) to cover any meltdown.

I think the problem with Xiv is the flush came after hours. Some folks were trapped stop loss or not. ☹️
