Well, I will admit that I have been educated many times over the years by the market .... I'm still just playing the statistical edges that have been good to me in the past ....

well, i have one good short going today NAT which I will close, I did take a stab at SHLD @ 39.50 yesterday too

Sold my IBM spread today for a return on risk of 12% not including commissions. I wanted to be out of the trade by earnings, nonetheless. I don't like my capital tied up in a trade that long.
I rolled calls up in CF when it gapped up. It won't stop going up. :)
This market is unreal. It like the dash for trash all over again.

Has anyone looked recently at these short plays that were posted on or about 1/9/2012?
You would be taking a real a$$ kicking. Alternatively, I guess it could be said you'd be getting educated real quick by the market.
I see one of the stocks is up over 80% and another is up over 60% .....

Take it easy, up 18% as a whole, will be down 50% by eoy.
A sure thing formula to success. I'm up 33% on my real shorts.

Well, being a reversion to the mean player and given the extent to which the market was statistically overbought .... I was weighted short for a good portion of last month .... I ended up with a managable loss .... it will be interesting to see what February brings ....
