13th or Avery, whats the basic concept behind RFR and The Travel Guide and where can I obtain more detailed info? I assume its all about trading off statistics.Thats the kind of thing that I'm working with right now.Charts just ain't cutting it.Market Wizard Gil Blake traded a method where he would enter a mutual fund on close, only if it was up big that day a certain percentage. He claimed his system was accurate appx 85% of the time.He would hold one position, full account,1-3 days. The way he traded, you really did'nt even need to look at a chart. All he was looking at was high percentage day up to get an entry signal. His system worked so good,it got him into the traders "hall of fame" book.Any info on statical trading of any nature would be greatly appreciated.I just threw all my charts out the window.Thanks,Mike.....

Hi 13th,

I've been collecting filters and copying them to "my filters". What I would like to do, and based on what you've said, is to delete all but one of the early versions (#3?) and get with you to help me sort through it. I found the blog "greenonthescreen' but if it alright with you I think email is better, you see I'm likely to ask a lot of dumb questions and would rather not announce my ignorance publicly. I will of course (use a public forum) if it will help others to learn along with me.

d27283,

Thanks for your answer, that's exactly what I meant.
Here's the deal imo.
There are 3 awesome RFR scans on there, now it's been watered down with, let me count 'em ...... 113 YES 113 more variations and/or weekly updates.
That is bizarre.
To take something great and water it down like that.
Myself I pay no attention to it because I have and know the 3 best scans on there, and they were all from the beginning of the thread,BUT what's a newbie to think??
Where do they start? ,which of the 113 should they be following?

Imo there should just be a thread with the 3 best producing RFR scans so others are not confused and let the creator of this RFR scan post away on another thread for ones that care about the other 110 ( so far and counting! ).
========================================================

Nothing is being watered down, 13th. I would think that you would give me a little more credit and respect than that. Also, you should give credit where credit is due. People are thinking you created RFR because you took my header off the filter. I always gave credit to StockHolyGrail for teaching me RSI(2) and linear regression. I gave credit to Mike Parker for the RSIWLR.

On the contrary, the statistics are being refined to the point where the stats tells us the TP, reentry and next TP with almost pinpoint accuracy. Each trade being worth 1% or more.

When you compound, those 1% or more trades add up.

You know everything that is going on here.
You know exactly where those posts are too, don't kid me.
I never stole anything from you.
Go read the blog.
You see it!
You have even been in the chat room when I said thanks to TRO thanks for the RFR scan. Go ahead deny that!! I've got the chatlogs to prove it! Wanna see me post 'em here????
Don't play baby with me,cry cry no credit, what a baby you are.

I gave full credit to you MASTER!

Grow up.
Your ego amazes me.
I really have no more time for you, really.

TheRumpledOne,

Thank you,thank you.
These 2 filters are awesome.
Had I had these 2 years ago I would have saved literally a few hundred hours charting for the "runners".

These filters may only appeal to a handful of folks here on SF but to those of us that are momo players this as I said is AWESOME.
The info contained in these filters is a goldmine to me,Thanks again!

YOU EVEN SAID YOU'RE WELCOME!!
And you didn't know,yeah right!!

I could find a bunch more, believe me but you've already shown the kind of person you are.

You remember this Email between you and I.
Conveniently I guess you didn't
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx........I thank you because you are such a great coder and you do share,as you did with what I think is the greatest filter(scan really) out there.
I diss you because I think you are not always polite and often curt with people and even sometimes have a "bully" attitude.
If you disagree,so be it, I still feel that way.
Like you say, there is no sense in debating.

At 11:10 AM 5/10/2008, you wrote:

I am curious as to the reason you thank me on the one hand and diss me on the other.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I personally thanked you for the "greatest scan out there"
PERSONALLY!!

You even said" I am curious as to the reason you thank me on the one hand"
So you knew right then and there I thanked you!!
You really looking like an idiot here ,Avery
You got a problem with me,no problem ,but don't LIE about me not giving you credit.
Really brings you down,if you care

Thanks johnny,
Here's the filter and I add a column ADR(30) and cherry pick the stocks over 8% from the top down in order of the times they have run 10% to 19% in the last 100 days.
Very simple.
Don't know how but missed the red to green 18.5% move on BTRX today, ouch

Actually the way I interpret going green is anything OVER yesterdays close whether yesterday was a red bar OR green bar.
Say the stock closed at 5 yesterday whether it was up or down for the day.
Any price today over 5 is green , any price below 5 is red.
