Filter experts, how could I say something like find stocks...with a close today higher than the close for the last 4 weeks? I don't want to use the "high" for the last 4 weeks, because the high isn't always the close.

If you really want filter code that gets you what you described in your post text, as opposed to what your post subject line indicates, then the following may help:

Fetcher[add column close 4 week high 1 day ago
add column close
add column close 4 week high
close > close 4 week high 1 day ago
close > 5
]
