This thread will document my trades shorting a series of triply-leveraged ETF pairs (DWTI/UWTI, ERX/ERY and DUST/NUGT) as well as one double-leveraged ETF (TVIX).
NO LONG POSITIONS WILL BE TAKEN - this approach focuses solely on using the inherent decay of these ETFs as the "trend", recognizing that in most cases BOTH ETFs in the pair end up yielding negative returns, which obviously would not happen if they were managed efficiently.
All trades are based on backtested multi-filter systems for each ETF. I may choose to enter trades at the open or wait for a specific price target - that part is discretionary but the signals are automatically generated each night for the following day. I will not post the filters or the backtest results here, but rather use this thread as a real-life trading log in which you can see my specific trades in full detail once they have been entered. I will post the final dollars gained/lost which will include any commissions and borrowing costs.

I missed taking a signal to short ERX today - a mistake to ignore the system signals. I will try to avoid having that happen again.

BTC 2000 shares of ERX at $31.85 for a gain of $639 after commissions. This was a discretionary exit.
I still have short signals triggered for both of these - I placed a limit order to re-enter my short ERY trade at $12.85 and will wait to see if it fills today, but am willing to go as low as my original position at $12.70 by EOD to get the fill.
