And down she goes.
It took a while, but how'd you come up with $980?

LOL! That's what I thought. I really didn't think it would hit $980 today.
$979.98? - Yes.
Glad you were able to take your profit.
Enjoy your week-end.

karen, dont be so hard on yourself ! I find your posts useful. with amazon, what do you see as support when you broaden the time frames? (just by looking at the chart). What price do you see common touchpoints?

pthomas215,
After having held AMZN for 9 months (and sold it), I only have one thing to say ...
DON'T BOTHER trading it. I mean really!! If you're a trading addict, trade something else!
Get a hobby (During the winter, I learned how to knit & crochet. I also learned the lesson of "patience". (NVDA) LOL!)!
JP held AMZN for a week for a $10 move and took his profits. TODAY, AMZN is up $20.
Oh well ...
I shop on AMZN daily.
Tomorrow is AMZN PRIME DAY. It's gonna be a BIG freggin' day for AMZN. (click the following link >>>)
AMZN PRIME DAYTOMORROW
What do you think that's gonna do to their earnings?
Even my neighbor who lives "off-the- grid", got a credit card so he can shop on AMZN.
AMZN has killed every retailer in site ... Macy's, Kmart, Sears, JCPenney and auto parts. Look at charts of ORLY and AZO, AAP..
AMZN is killing ULTA right now, which only a month ago was $315!! U can kiss $ULTA good-bye. Lord & Taylor and Neiman Marcus will be next. Then, the grocery stores -- bye bye ... Rich women who shop at malls for fun will find another hobby -- shopping online >>> on AMZN.
Next month AMZN will be shipping clothes and you don't pay for them unless you keep them!
When it dropped last month to $946, I freaked out and tried to trade it. DUMB MOVE.
It just isn't worth the work.
JMHO.

BTW, you see how I misjudged AMZN last week.
Just a week ago, it was $950. Today it's almost $1K.
To answer your question, if it dips like that again, I will DOUBLE position I had before.

pthomas215,
Another reason Y I don't post much anymore ... I'm always worried.
I think we're in the midst of another MANIA.
Manias (bubbles) always end badly.
I've gotten to the point where, every time I buy a stock, I can't wait to get out of it.
