the act of trading is simple, but difficult to make money, this why so many fail. I've blown up my account many times in the past, still practice every night with forex. You have to find your own trading style that suits your personality. Keep posting questions on the forum and some of the very smart guys here will be more than happy to help....glty

For fun - back in VXX (long 1000 shares at $35.00). Not driven by any signal, just playing with the extra profit I made this morning over my target.
^VIX up 7.8% right now. VXX down 0.25%. That is some really crappy tracking of an index.
UPDATE:
Weird day - the ^VIX index is up right now (+2.2%) but VXX is DOWN -1.78%. Again, I say that is pretty crappy tracking if you ask me.
I placed a limit order for 1000 shares of VXX at $34.00. Waiting to see of it fills.
UPDATE: Filled at 34.00. Now long 2000 shares at $34.50. Fingers crossed.

Out of this position at $35.45 for a gain of 2.75%

Obviously left VXX too soon - it's up almost another 3%. I thought the market would rally at 2160 but it looks like 2150 might be the battleground.

AAPL(103.65)....just hit upper BB125(support)...103.09 is a major support line, breaking below would attract lot's of sellers. AAPL with 8% weighing is the lead weight on the index.
