Fed Wary of Bond "cliff"
"Six years of crisis-era purchases meant to boost economic growth quintupled the size of the Fed's balance sheet. "

Hmmmm .,, is that called "debt"?

Who, me?
I didn't put you on ignore.
I would never do that.
I read everything you post. Well, not "everything" ... but, a lot of what you post.
When it comes to trading, I'm interested in what everyone has to say.
Some people's stuff I find more interesting than others.
I'm just a curious person. (I'm curious about a lot of things.)
That's Y I don't "bash" other people's opinions.
My philosophy is, opinions are like a$$holes. Everyone's got one.

In fact, speaking of "bashing" ...
I owe EMAN an apology.
He recently (in the last 2 wks?) gave a bearish warning on the VIX, which I did not heed.
I think I responded that I was adding bullish positions.
I suppose, that was kind of a surreptitious bash. (again, just an opinion)
I lost my @$$ on those trades.
So, kudos to EMAN on a great call.

""It's a nice 'Goldilocks' report. We haven't had one in awhile," said John Canally, economist and market strategist at LPL Financial. "The people worried about the first quarter being more than transitory were happy. People worried about the Fed hiking in June, those people were happy."

Whewww! Thank g*d. No rate hike in June.
More time!
Ahhhhh! (sigh of relief)

I was referring to the other guy.

I'm interested in why everyone is not on the etf bandwagon when you consider the added safety
of not having to wake up 1 day & find your stock decimated.
Combine that with a system with set parameters, takes the guess wok out of trading.

There are msgs going all the way back to 2007 when I was trading FXP.
I made a $ killing $. If I recall correctly, I believe FXP even went up $100 one day.
I thought I had found my holy grail and started adding other ETFs..
Eventually, I lost everything.
I had nothing left! Nada!
I remember thinking, at least, with stock, I "owned" something.
With an ETF, I owned "nothing" but a bunch of tax write-offs - losses. There was no "recovery".
Funny thing is, about 4 months ago or so, I thought oil had bottomed.
You had posted something about UGAZ. I waited cautiously -- and bought it.
As soon as I lost $20, I was outta that thing faster than a New York cockroach. LOL!
At this point, my goal is to simply not make the same mistake twice.

I dunno .. maybe it wasn't UGAZ. Maybe it was UWTI.
Either way, it was the same ol' s#*+. As soon as it dropped 0.10 cents, I was gone!

I will not fiddle with gas/oil/gold anymore. It was time for UGAZ
but that & the rest are highly manipulated. You cannot time them.

For some reason, volatility trades very true to form.
