The problem may be that you're using the watchlist link.
I changed the steps and added a note:
A watchlist file does not include data columns. The added columns in a filter do not affect the file downloaded using the "Download List" link on the watchlist page.

----
You can apply a specific filter to a watchlist, and the data columns for that filter will be in the downloaded symbols file.

1. Use a filter that adds a column for each of the target outputs (RSI and other data). Example phrase: "and add column rsi(15)"
2. Include the phrase "and apply to watchlist" in the filter text.
3. Run the filter and use the "download symbols" link on the results page. The downloaded list should include the watchlist symbols and the added data columns.

Note: A watchlist file does not include data columns. The added columns in a filter do not affect the file downloaded using the "Download List" link on the watchlist page.

Announcements · New Feature: Occurrences -- Count()
zfetch
msg #27513

In the example 1, there is a ratio of a recent high divided by a previous x-day high. The count function counts the occurances where the ratio is between a low and a high.
In the example 2, the count function counts the occurances where the ratio is near a single value.
Example 1 didn't work, and example 2 did work.
The problem could be the use of "between" in a count statement, and not a problem with the variable.

Ex. 1
Fetcher[
and draw ratio2
and draw cnt

set{ h15dh, high 15 day high 1 days ago }
set{ ratio2, high / h15dh }
set{ cnt , count( ratio2 is between 0.96 and 1.04, 20)}

and close is between 1 and 5 and avgvol(5) multiplied by close is above 80000
]

Ex. 2
Fetcher[
and draw ratio2
and draw cnt
set{ h15dh, high 15 day high 1 days ago }
set{ ratio2, high / h15dh }
set{ cnt , count( ratio2 is near 1, 20)}

add column cnt
and sort column 5 descending

and close is between 1 and 5 and avgvol(5) multiplied by close is above 80000
]

I like the count feature, and tried to include a variable within the count(...) text. This may be used to count the occurances of events for a specific measure.

That didn't work for the filters tried, so it may be a current limitation for items in within the count(...) text. Could the use of variables in the count statement, be added at some time, to the count function?

The day position function also provides a measurement vs day range, that can be compared to the close.
Fetcher[and close is above Day Position(0.80)]

The calculation in the previous example works, if you need the value of the percent vs day range.

If you want to avoid running filter phrases together, filter links may include extra lines, to separate groups of filter phrases. If the target is a readable set of phrases, then use the extra spacing.
Keep posting as you want to; the following is intended only as an example.

Fetcher[
Show stocks where close is above MA(130)
And close reached a new 6 week high
And volume reached a new 124 day high

and average Volume(90) is above 50000
and close is between 1 and 5

Sorry for the repeated note in that last post, about values for the volume ratio.

For volume spikes, look for a high ratio of volume vs short-term avg. volume.
Use a value for the ratio, that's below the period for the average volume.
If the ratio is greater than the avgvol period, the filter typically returns 0 matches.

Examples using criteria in the previous posts,
Filter for a crossover of volume vs avgvol(10), within an x day period, or
filter for a crossover of volume vs avgvol(10), within an x day period with a date offset y days ago.

Volume increase vs short-term avgvol(10), ratio of 5
30 day period
Fetcher[and volume divided by avgvol(10) crossed above 5 within the last 30 days
and volume is above 50000 and close is between 5 and 25 and add column average volume(10) {AV10}
]

Volume increase vs short-term avgvol(10), ratio of 5
30 day period, 20 days ago
Fetcher[and volume divided by avgvol(10) crossed above 5 within the last 30 days
and volume is above 50000 and close is between 5 and 25 and add column average volume(10) {AV10}
and date offset is 20
]

Note: Use a value for the ratio, that's below the period for the average volume. If the ratio is greater than the avgvol period, the filter typically returns 0 matches. Filtering for 5x volume vs avgvol(5) returns 0 matches.

General Discussion · Close-to-open gap <==Can't get the result I wanted

It seems uncommon to find a close-to-open gap above 2.5% for 8, 9, or 10 days.
I tried filtering for a gap above 2.5% 10 days and didn't find results. On Friday 5/2/03 and in recent days, there are a few matches for period of 4 to 7 days.

Here are examples for a gap above 2.5% for 4 days, on 4 different filter days:

Fetcher[Show stocks where close-to-open gap has been above 2.5 for the last 4 days]

Fetcher[Show stocks where close-to-open gap has been above 2.5 for the last 4 days and date offset is 1]

Fetcher[Show stocks where close-to-open gap has been above 2.5 for the last 4 days and date offset is 2]

Fetcher[Show stocks where close-to-open gap has been above 2.5 for the last 4 days and date offset is 3]

Also, instead of using 'date offset' for different dates, you can use 'close-to-open gap x days ago was above...'
Fetcher[Show stocks where close-to-open gap 3 days ago was above 2.5 for the last 4 days]

General Discussion · Request for feedback on charts

Request for 'wrap' feature on any chart (updated from 2/17/03 suggestion)

Please provide a wrap feature to display all the indicator descriptions, for any chart with multiple indicators.

This is needed to read the all the descriptions, when a chart shows indicators from multiple filter criteria.
In the current charts, only a few descriptions fit on the single display line.

The main chart will show indicator descriptions for Bollinger bands, moving averages, Low 40-week low, etc.
The volume chart will show indicator descriptions for average volume (30), average volume (30) 18-week high, etc.
The other charts will show indicator descriptions for the basic indicator values, and any moving averages, x-day highs or lows for the indicator.

Display all information possible -- at least 3 lines of information.

Example display for 2 lines:
XYZ _ Bollinger(20) _ EMA(30) _ EMA(60) _ EMA(90) _ LOW 6-week low ^Split
LOW 50-week low _ HIGH 6-week high _ HIGH 6-week high

Thanks,
zfetch
