My dear alf44,

"Chill out" ??? ... "Stop bashing people" ???

Maybe I didn't read your last post on this topic !

Maybe I didn't see your "apology" to well as your "Thanks" !

Maybe YOU still need to "chill out" !!!

Maybe I should kill and then say OOPS !

Ah, why bother!

Have a nice day.

Chill out, alf44.

Just add the line "and apply to watchlist(<name of your watchlist>)" to your filter and you'll see what I mean.

This command is not going to do you any good if you want some filter results to go into a watchlist.

This command actually apply your filter to that particular watchlist which contains the stocks you want to focus on.

By the way, you need to create this watchlist first before you can apply your filter.

You need to stop bashing people before you do your home work. I have been using this command for quite a few months now.

Sorry, yepher. I guess I wasn't clear. I'm actually thinking about a custom standard deviation you can apply to something else other than close.

There're a couple things you can use in Fetcher, eg, moving averages. But I don't think the standard deviation is there. I tried to calculate this before but get stuck under the limitation of variable nesting. Good luck.

The RumpledOne,
Thanks for this posting. Sure looks very nice. The demonstration is on a hourly chart but looks like it does the same thing on a daily chart too.

One thing I notice in the video is that he talks about looking for the EMA(5) cross above EMA(6) after EMA(5) crossed below EMA(6). I know EMA(5) has to be below EMA(6) in order to cross above it. But is it important to find a cross below within certain time period ? What's your thought ?

Thanks again for the posting.

Hi, Jake,

No need to apologize. I've been away yesterday and I didn't see that. I think my global setting with price range get some problem with this filter. It should be alright to relax that a little. The filter indeed look impressive. Of course you cann't just mechanically follow the filter on every match.

I'm experimenting something for the below CMA part. Something like it has been closed within that big spike body would be nice.

Happy bidding.

Sorry, Jake. I'm afraid I'm having trouble seeing that one. You mind enlight me on this. It's looking like a pretty nice filter.
