Throwing Down....picks for Tuesday, 09/02/2003

MRBA..$3.55
ATSI..$3.94
STLW..$4.97 ..... Wild Card.. PACW

I really don't expect to win, especially when I'm testing my skills against the best "TheRumpledOne", after all I've learned more in three weeks from Muddy, TheRump and EWZuber than I can ever put into words here. And if I do get lucky and win Rump, "you win too", because all my picks here are from your Methodology.

Now I would like to share an interesting Filter....The methodology behind this filter is that I noticed if OBV started up a day after RSI(2) came off bottom the stock would shoot up, kind of like the EMA(13) EMA(26) crossover. And it sometimes shows them "two white candles" after a RSI(2) bottom. Check it out, I call it the "WILDCARD FILTER".

Fetcher[RSI(2)is below 40 and On Balance Volume has been increasing for 1 day and close is between 1 and 10 and volume (10) is above 100000]

EWZuber, in reference to your post of 8/31/2003 at 3.19PM can you be more specific on how any weakness in TDF would show up first on the intraday charts?
Do you mean 1D/1min or 5 day/5min. charts, etc. And what indicators/price/volume action would you be watching for weakness? And the 15 DMA you mention, do you mean 15 "Daily Moving Average" or 15 "Displaced Moving Average", or yes it exists in Prophet Pro.

thanks,

TDF signaled "buy me" on 8/8/2003 before the "box theory"

1) First you had to have your computer turned on, and looking at TDF on 8/8/2003 using a 3mon/D Prophet.net Pro chart using RealTime Pro.
2) You see RSI(2)comming off a low between 0% & 20%. (Muddy Method)
3) You see three days of declining volume.
4) You see three days of declining price. (Muddy Method)
5) Price sitting on EMA(150) (Support) (HolyGrail & TheRumpledOne)
6) Stock was in an uptrend before the pullback.
7) Stock has over 150,000 volume.

RUMP...a conservative buyer may have waited until he saw (two or three white candles (Rump2003)) Or flip to 1Mo/D chart clearly defines the "buy signal".

Chart Reading is an art not a science!

Jim Wycoff...Triple-Moving Average

The relation of the three moving averages can help to better and more quickly define the strength of the trend and provide shorter-term trading clues. For example, if the 4-period moving average crosses above the 9-period average, but the 9-period is still below the 18-period, that signals a trend change may be on the horizon, but it's best to wait for the 9-period to cross above the 18-period for a better reading of the trend change.

I've named you scan "Breakoutz" z for Zuber. I plugged then in this morning and EGLS turned green at $1.94. With all the high volume today I am sure this stock is going to breakout soon! EGLS closed today up $0.08. Good work, txtrapper
