From sulldt. Thanks for the filter help. I got it figured out. Changed ema(10) above 0 to draw ema (10), like you suggested, and it works like a charm. I think the ones that didn't show up earlier were so cheap SF couldn't calculate an EMA.

Thank you. Bit of a puzzle to me also.

Hate to be a pain but that didn't work. I ran the corrected filter and CAVR didn't show up on that date. Just like LVGI, it shows up on todays scan and should have shown up on the scan on Dec. 28th. On the 28th it traded 66 million shares, closed at .0006 and reached a new high on Dec. 26th. That's why I was asking about minimum price to show up on scans,

This is the filter I've been using. "Show stocks that reached a 52 week high in the last 10 days and close is below 1 and volume is above 1000000 and ema(10) is above 0". My question. When I run that filter, CAVR comes up in the results for today but if you go back to Nov.26th, it doesn't. On the 26th of November it met the criteria, should have shown up. Is there a minimum price that has to be met before it shows up? Thanks

Not a typo. Only way I knew how to get the ema(10) line to show up on the chart.

I'm trying to write this filter. Show stocks where close reached a 52 week high in the last 30 days and close HAS BEEN 15% below 52 week high at some point since, not necessarily IS 15% below. Say a 100 stock that has gone to 85 or lower and then rebounded to 90 or 95. Everything I've tried can't tell the difference between IS and HAS BEEN. Any way to code this? Thanks

Show stocks where close reached a 52 week high in the last 30 days and close is 15% below 52 week high and ema(10) is above 0 and volume is above 500000 and close is above 10. Once a stock shows up on the filter you follow it until it crosses above its ema(10) and then you buy puts. Keep it a week then sell. Just backing the filter up a week at a time it seems to work reasonably well. Don't know if it's just because we are in a down market. If anyone wants to check it out, I'd be interested in feedback. I tend to avoid option trading., very little patience.

Thank you, that shows some promise. I changed the volume to above 1000000, and added ema(10) is above 0, and close is above close 60 days ago. Cuts down on the results. Just looking at it you can take the results and wait for those returns to drop back below the ema(10) line and buy there. If you don't get greedy it might be profitable. Like everything else I've found, it seems to work part of the time. Just need to figure out when it does or doesn't. Again Thanks.

Anyone have any filters for trading stocks under 5.00?
