General Discussion · Question: Intraday RSI2 daily calculation

Hi,
Hopefully we can answer your question. Because StockFetcher treats intraday price updates as the "current day" we simply replace the most recent quote for the current day and use the prior market date as "n-1". There is no aggregating of prior intraday values when calculating this measure.
Hope that helps!

Announcements · Upcoming Feature Change: User Variables and Global Filters

*** UPDATE ***
We have moved ahead and merged the User Variables settings page with the Global Filter. Any assignments you had previously made with User Variables have been moved into your Global Filter. For example if you had the assignment below in your User Variables:
myvar, close - open
That will now be seen in your Global Filter as:
set{myvar, close - open}
And can be referenced anywhere you have enabled the Global Filter.
Thank you and please let us know if you run into any issues or have any questions.

The P/E Ratio on StockFetcher uses price / trailing 12 months of EPS before non-recurring items.
Concerning the two examples that you mention, can you provide more details concerning the EPS numbers you are using to arrive at the cited ratios? We only ask as we are having trouble finding any matching sources to what you mention.
Please keep in mind that the price used for StockFetcher's P/E is not based on current, intraday, pricing.

Announcements · Upcoming Feature Change: User Variables and Global Filters
|
stockfetcher msg #126361 |
12/2/2015 2:24:58 PM
In the next few weeks we are looking to merge the functionality of the "User Variables" setting into the "Global Filter".
For those that do not use it,, the "User Variables" option allows you to define variables that can be referenced within your filters, without having to redefine the variable. The "Global Filter" is another setting that allows you to take specific filter requirements (e.g. "close is above 10") and apply when the "Global Filter" option enabled.
Until recently, the "Global Filter" was only available for saved "My Filters"; however, now you can enable this for both saved filters as well as filters you are currently editing. Because of this change, we feel there is some redundancy between "Global Filter" and "User Variables". Additionally, by having these two features in separate locations there is a disconnect which can make troubleshooting filter problems more difficult.
At this time, we have made no changes -- we are simply looking for input on how this might negatively impact their use of StockFetcher.

Date Based References (DATE) |
| | Parameters | Period
Indicator | Usage | DATE(YEARSTART,open)
DATE(MONTHSTART,RSI(10))
| | Description | The DATE([PERIOD],[INDICATOR]) function allows you to access past values of measures based on specific dates in the past. In function, this feature works similar to the "days ago" phrase, as it modifies the desired measure; however, you can provide specific instructions on the actual offset of the days ago phrase.
The example below returns matches that are more than 10% above the opening price for the year.
Value PERIOD values are:
- YEARSTART: Initial value of the indicator for the year
- YEAREND: Last value of the indicator for the prior year
- MONTHSTART: Initial value of the indicator for the month
- MONTHEND: Final value of the indicator for the prior month
- MONDAY - FRIDAY: Value from the specific day of the week
- YYYYMMDD: Specfic date
