I've seen alot of great filters here at SF, and many of them belong to you. Now I dont agree with alot of what you do here, but THIS filter has to be one of the BEST things I have seen in some time! Not looking for a responce or anything...just wanted to give credit where credit is due. For those of you rookie investors, look no further! This filter is the "alpha and omega." Very, very nice work, and I can't believe there isn't more interest or dialog on this baby.

Are you being serious? LOL...It's like THERUMPLEDONE says..."it's how you trade it, not what you trade." It took me awhile to really believe that myself. Hey man, I suggest you just read EVERYTHING here. Read, read, read...There are no magic filters that do what you are asking. Best of luck.

Hey guys, been playing with about 4 or 5 of these for the last month, so here's the best filter I have come up with. IMO, it's the best damn breakout you will ever see. There might be something out there as good, but not better, so here it go's.....

[show stocks where RSI(14)crossed above CEMA(RSI(14),5)and slow stochastics(5,3)fast %K crossed above slow stochastics(5,3)slow %D and average volume(90)is above 300000 and draw Bollinger Bands(20,2.0)draw EMA(3)draw EMA(13)draw ema(39)draw EMA(200)and add column industry]

Now what you're looking for is a possible EMA 3 / 13 crossover or even EMA 13 / 39. So make sure these EMA'S are in close proximity of one another. Also, when looking at breakouts NEVER neglect Volume. You can also tweak this by having the RSI above 40 on breakouts, either way, you can't miss with this one. Tell me your thoughts good or bad.

We all know the ABC'S of this simplistic yet useful indicator, but you STILL have not shown us an example of "divergence." But we all know why. IT DOESN'T EXSIST! I don't care what some yahoo says on his website! Hell, THE MIGHTY RIGGS is posting and writing all over the global super-highway, but do buy everything I say?

THERE IS KNOW DIVERGENCE IS ADX! DAH!

Bfreshour -

EYE was alread falling long before your ridicules "ADX DIVERGENCE" theory! Look at slow stochastics(5,3)on 12/9/05. Also, look at Momentum(12)way back on 12/6/05! Your dumb ADX went from 39 to 38 on 12/13/05. Even RSI(2)fell back on 12/9/05. Meanwhile, GOOD traders have already been in & out of other stocks while BFreshour is still waiting till 12/15/05 to gain confirmation. LOL!!!!
It's just like my arch enemy alf44 said, ADX IS WAY TOO SLOW! Kind of like your brain! Hey BFreshour, ask your magical ADX if the Houston Astros will ever get into the World Series! It should be catching up to October by now. LOL!!!! So once again.....
