Four - This has had great results for downside moves. Can you reverse it for upside moves?? Of course as of today I want to be on the Put side, but when Calls are appropriate it will be interesting to see if this can work as well.

Four, I did not backtest this, all I did was click the links for 2 days ago and 1 month ago and the results were all pretty good declines. That is what led me to believe it was meant to be a "short" filter. Since those results were so good on the negative side, I thought perhaps you could script an "up" filter. Going back and clicking different start dates I got some positive returns so perhaps it was just the date I started. At the time all I checked was the 2 days ago and 1 month ago and both revealed no up stocks, all were declines of such proportion they would have been profitable investments on the short side. As far as entries, either long or short, pretty much all I use is Williams%R(30) from Big Trends. I use MACD, Directional Index with ADX and ROC for confirmations. They generally signal entries before W%R, but they are not quite as reliable. Much the same for exits, W%R lags but often keeps you in the trend after a retest.

What has happened. No postings since 3/29. That happened to be the day I found this filter and was so excited with all I read.

Kevin, I wasn't complaining. Did exactly what you said, run the filter and chose my stocks. Just wondered if this forum had been shut down. Thanks for your work and effort. PS, I've invested twice, lost both times. First time set a stop loss, it was triggered, then the next day I would have gotten my 5%. Second trade hit my stop loss also. I have had too many large losses so I am afraid to trade w/o a stop loss. I know I know FEAR and GREED. FEAR is also troubling me with Market at Open orders.

Unfortunately mine didn't give a buy today but will take you up on the challenge when it does. My last 5 were are
TRPH in 1.25 out 1.49 next day
DTMG IN .18 OUT .18 5 DAYS
UDW in .23 out .35 3 days
ATML in 3.17 still holding
TE in 12.52 out 12.38 3 days
These did not come from a StockFetcher screen. I am recent to Stockfetcher and still looking for that one special screen. So far I have had my best results from MACD and RSI screens in very oversold conditions, cutting losses quickly and letting profits run. By the way the reason I gave last 5 was I hadn't used this tool in over a month. These are the only 5 I have used with current settings on my tool. I wasn't cherry picking. I checked out the chart on INET and believe it could come down a little more. If I entered a position I would only go in with half my usual investment anticipating I may average down because MACD and RSI are not yet in very oversold condition but getting there..

Hi all, I am Papagatorga. 80 years old. Retired military. Spent 10 years as Stockbroker with discount firm during the 80's. Have been searching for the Holy Grail for many years. Been on SF a long time and really enjoy the Forums. Call myself a swing trader, 1-4 weeks. Too often have not cut my losses and paid dearly. If I have any advice, that would be it, cut your losses. Currently I do almost all my trading with Williams%R(30).
Past results for 5-30 days have been very good in bullish times. I use Directional Index as a sort of confirmation or second signal. Like W%R past results have been very good in bullish periods, but not quite as good. I really appreciate the knowledgeable people on here who contribute so much. .I don't take credit
for W%R. I got it from Big Trends. My best to all of you.

Anyone willing to share their more successful ADX and DI scans? I am currently testing 6-7 different scans over a two week time frame and will be happy to share any successful ones with you.
