Kevin, I hear you regarding 401-k's and I have the same empathy for those who have been brainwashed by the "buy and hold" philosophy. This is whey for years now I've been telling anyone (inside and outside my workplace) about a simple way to decide when to be in mutual funds and when not to be. The 40 week EMA works very well for this purpose. When prices rally above it and the EMA follows be in mutual funds. When prices decline below it and the EMA follows be out. My method includes a few more rules to get in and out even earlier but for MOST people who do not have the will to do in-depth analysis this is enough.

While I still have empathy for those who've lost so much there really is no excuse for those who continue to remain ignorant and lose 20, 30, 40% and more on their investments. We live in an information age now. By following a simple timing model they can move their money into a money market fund when the time is right and avoid such catastrophic losses.

I expected to see a bottom proclaimed each day the market/RSI2 made a new low/high.

JP...good to hear from you. Actually, the majority of the profits I've made have not come from Mary. But I am absolutely serious that every time my technicals have pointed to downside and Mary comes out of the wood work proclaiming a bottom...I have made money buying puts. I love this guy.

Regarding the Flames...yes, they've really taken a nose dive. But then again so have my beloved Wings :(
Kinda sucks that we live in a post cap era. We'll see just how good Ken Holland is now eh?

Karen...PRECISELY. I'm wondering if anyone on this forum is paying attention to may posts? EVERY time Mary proclaims a bottom, I make a ton of money buying puts on the indexes and selected stocks. It has been this way for several years now.

Yes, I've been with them for a couple of years. Very user friendly interface. Very reasonable commissions. Although recently I'm strongly considering Think Or Swim due to even lower commissions and superior option analytics.

I love it when Mary predicts a bottom when all of my indicators indicate this may not be a "normal" correction. Much more often than not any rallies that may ensue after an OS RSI reading is usually met by swift selling. Nearly every time this has happened in the past I have made $$ buying puts. Thanks Mary.
