re: itrademan...Day 2 and many are still running...
One can measure value of screens with positive vs. negative return totals also...so in day 2 we get +$2.55 and negative -.34 off yesterdays list.
Who needs Uranium? LOL
OT: ALLP was a nice hit last night....weeeeeeee!

There's easier ways to make money...
Than chasing Uranium around the globe. Just play the daily returns you get from SF.

Here's last nights total return count...

CCBL,DIL,INTN,MVCO,TASR,DTPI,NMKT.OB,CVM,AIDO.OB,AFOP,BSIO.OB,IBAS.OB,ALLP.OB,TLCO.OB,IMSI.OB,VSHI.OB,VLTS

You can see that the only big loser was yesterday's Bird Flu runner that got it's wings clipped immediately from the starting bell. Some decent spreads, and no real account killers. Another day at the office....FWIW

RumpledOne, here's a site for ya...
http://www.uic.com.au/emine.htm

*I wouldn't get too excited till I checked up on the below headline...

China wants to explore for uranium in Australia
"Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer has confirmed that China has asked the Federal Government for permission to conduct uranium exploration activities in Australia. But Mr Downer says China would have to sign a nuclear safeguard agreement with Australia before it could conduct uranium mining or exploration activities. (ABC Oct. 17, 2005)"

General Discussion · The Search For The 10-Bagger Begins

RumpledOne...(5) years? Way too broad a search...
The "10-Bagger" strategy...
"The term 10-Bagger comes from Peter Lynch's book, One Up On Wall Street. The idea is that you buy 10 stocks; if five of them do nothing, three go up 20%, one goes up 50%, and one goes up 1,000% or tenfold, then your portfolio will do very well. Of course one must spend a lot of time trying to find this elusive 10-Bagger. Lately this has been easier, but in general, it is hard to pick one of the 100 or so stocks out of 9000 that will advance that much in your time frame."

Just an overview from the site, and pardon me if it was already in your lengthy post.

Here's (2) 10-Baggers if all you want to do is research such stocks...
CAMH, screen hit (72) days ago @ .34, hit $3.98
ONTV, screen hit (37) days ago @ .04, hit .66

I usually don't look back beyond (5) days for this reason, but this thread peaked my curiosity. Screen returns 13.5 stocks a day on avg., so maybe I will get in and actually hold one long enough to see the grand prize before my trading life is completed. FWIW

Seriously, no jesting at all

Most filters are not an "A" filter, the best are only a "B" or worse, so people still need to DD the returns and yes...properly execute only the good picks to make up for the higher % of negative trade offerings there filters provide. With an "A" filter all that is eliminated, since the negatives are so few. It's not the Holy Grail, since that would require an "A+" or 100% completion rate in max. backtesting (4 months) but it may be as close as one can achieve.

Sure I believe. I also believe now that...

the trader is not as important as the filter, if the filter is good enough to fix the usually poor trader. This is true only if you use an "A" filter though.

10:48AM Magellan Petroleum provides drilling report Yanerbie-1 Cooper Basin, South Australia (MPET) Magellan Petroleum Australia Limited advises that at 06:00 hours today the Yanerbie-1 exploration well in exploration permit PEL 110 had reached a total depth of 2,517 metres and was running abandonment plugs, having failed to encounter any hydrocarbons pools.

Hole looks a bit dry.

OT: Did you get TRIN, NVBG or AAIIQ last night?

RumpledOne...
If the mystery stock is the traders darling MPET, than I do not see the buy interest signals you elude to. I just ran my scan tonight and in the group of ten is what you may be looking for I believe, if the article hinted that buying had just begun recently. Try ABP instead and you'll see real buying interest. At 10X daily vol. for starters, I'll place my wager that I have your target pick. JMHO

This is Da-net's trading buddy...
He can't come out to play till he does his research. Please be patient. Deep in the outer reaches of code, beyond RSI(2) methodology, lies a filter, called the Mystery Tale. Once backtested...the holder is at wits to contain himself, and often vibrates like an overly-cappucino'd Beavis on anticipation of scoring. So please...give him a lil breathing room. He has seen the top of the mountain...and it is good.
