The 5-day up is a simple filter that looks for stocks where the 5-day moving average is increasing while the 5-day moving average of the 5-day moving average is decreasing.

Can anyone code this in stockfetcher? Thanks.

Stockbee Low Threshold Breakout (SLTB)
SLTB helps you find another buy point in a stock with established momentum. Not every stock shows up is Stockbee 4% breakout or Stockbee $ breakout scan because they often breakout with lower tyhreshold price or volume move. The SLTB helps you profit from those setups.

SLTB scan for Trend Intensity Above 1.05

minv3.1>=100000 and c>=1 and avgc7/avgc65>=1.05
and c>o and c>c1 and c/c1>c1/c2 and c1/c2<1.02

minv3.1>=100000 looks for stock with atleast 100000 plus volume in last 3 days
c>=1 stock price is above 1

avgc7/avgc65>=1.05 finds stock with Trend Intensity above 1.05 (it gives you stocks with established momentum)

c>o close is above open

c>c1 price today is higher than price yesterday

c/c1>c1/c2 price % change today is > price % change yesterday

c1/c2<1.02 price % change yesterday was less than 2%

This is off stockbees website. i think he uses telescan. can anyone code in stockfetcher? Thanks
To find stocks like these I run a very simple 4% breakout scan:

c/c1>=1.04 and v>v1 and v>100000

where
c= close today
c1= close yeserday
v= volume today
v1= volume yesterday

...can this be coded into a stockfetcher filter? Thanks

How to Identify good momentum burst

A good momentum burst candidate will have following characters:

The day prior to range expansion day will be narrow range day or negative day
The stock will have 3 to 20 days consolidation prior to range expansion day
The stock will have series of narrow range days prior to breakout
On breakout day volume is higher than previous day
On breakout day stock closes at or near its high for the day (preferred)
Stock is not extended. First or second breakout at start of an up trend is preferred.
Stock should have linear and orderly move
A very volatile stock exhibiting drunken man walk kind moves should be avoided
Low float below 25 million is good. Below 10 million float leads to explosive moves
Low priced stocks (below 5 dollar) tend to make very explosive moves of 40% kind in 3 to 5 days.
