Hi Kevin thanks for the daily updates .... my filters triggered one new short signal and one closing long position if we are using identical filters i'm not sure why there is a discrepancy other than the filters being run at different times just run mine 10:30PM eastern time . Thank you

i Kevin looks like to be long xiv all we need is VIX/VXV<.9 and to be long vxx VIX/VXV>.9 to be incorporated into the filters so we could avoid the present backwardation but i could also be wrong .
Thanks for all the help .

Hi Kevin, are you still working on the strategy that exploits contango with a parallel hedging strategy and if you are are you going to share .
I do really appreciate all your work .
Happy new Year

Can this be coded in stock fetcher ?

For example, the insightful Lowry Research Corporation conducted an exhaustive study of every market top since the Great Depression and found that the number of individual stocks participating in a bull market clearly declined as the index hit a major peak. Put another way, participation in a bull market fades as individual stocks enter their own private bear markets well before the market peaks. Here is a quick snapshot of their findings when observing the 14 major tops between 1929 and 2007, which is quite astounding.

When the Dow Jones Industrial Average reached its absolute peak:

The average percentage of stocks also making new highs on that day was 6.38%
The average percentage of stocks within 2% of their 52-week highs was 16.54%
The average percentage of stocks 20% or more below their 52-week highs was 22.26%
The average percentage of stocks 30% or more below their 52-week highs was 10.97%
