JP:

Nice on TWM. I bailed way to early 76 or so. I can't remember. I have an alert set for TIMMY at the 100 ema. I bot CSIQ yesterday (oops). It just bounced off the 100 ema today at 32.13
Who knows if it holds but it closed the Gap from 5-12. Good risk reward.

The solars I will hold till hell freezes over or until they pop (let's hope they pop first). There is always some hype to push them. The selloff is mostly due to the solar tax credit bill being stalled in the Senate and Mc Cain coming out in favor of Coal and Nuclear. Now he's a forward looking guy. I like Nuclear but Coal. I guess that there is heavy pressure being put on him by the status quo to thwart a clean energy policy that can't be controlled buy the dirty energy producers. Shame on them.

JP,

I am playing for a quick am pop. The last 3 times the RSI (2) got this low it gapped up. No doubt the chart is weak. I like the 100 ema sitting below for some support.
If this wasn't such a quality company, I wouldn't play it. Thanks for the input.

BTW, I have PWR, XEC, GNK, XTO. I have been out of touch with the tankers. Too much fishing this time of year to watch everything. I did by some KAZ today but I am prepared to average down at 5.51. This is one of the stronger cheap
oil/gas plays

You called that blast off on CELG.

Re entered the Solars today on the meltdown. Prepared to give them some room (IRA)

Bot MA at 264.00. Looks like the market may bounce for a day or so

Hey JP:

Just got back from a weekend trip. Nice going on POT. You know I was just ribbing you. Look how it bounced off your upper BB. Nice entry long too!

Great call on CELG I didn't have the opportunity to buy but that is a beauty.

I covered my puts to early I see.

Still have the drillers and looking to ease back in the solars (yeah, I know the charts suck but I am putting in the IRA.)

Before I left I bot more CCJ at 39. Got a bit lucky and bot KAZ at 5.74 and put a limit order to sell at 6.45. That was a nice surprise. I have another order in to buy now at 5.51. No logic ... just been doing well with the stock and the support is there. ( My Borat energy play from Kazakhstan). Its actually a good company.

Way to take the profits. Sold GOOG for a tiny 1% but better than the alternative.

Just noticed SVM.TO This one has been whacked over the last 6 months I am trying to hold off buying the explorers till Mid-July but I couldn't resist. This is actually a producer.

This is a highly profitable Silver Play and China play. (.42 CAD last year) You might want to put some of this in the retirement account. Rode this on from about 2 to 8.50 (Pre Split) and have been patiently waiting for the miner summer doldrums.

I am hoping it goes down further so I buy some more. FYI, I am very patient with the explorers/miners.

I am with you on the long term prospect in the U.S. on wind. Europe is way in front of the U.S. and so are its major players. I believe the only big boy player here is GE (turbines). I recently was stopped out of that after a 10% loss (ouch). GE has too many other problems.

My point is they have run up those stocks so they need a pullback. The plays I currently own that have some Wind exposure or carbon related (blades) exposure are AMN,AMSC,APWR,KDN,KHD,OC,TRN,TTEK,WGOV,ZOLT. Even with the recent meltdown they have held up okay for the most part. I have no intention of selling them and will add FAN to the mix if a pullback occurs.

Good Luck to you (and me too)

Regarding the 34 EMA on AAPL, I checked it with Stockcharts, Interactive Brokers,
Tradestation , amd Prophet.net. They all show AAPL 34 day EMA within a few pennies of one another at 178.20 to 178.29.

Obviously whatever you are using is working but I just thought you would want to know what some other providers are showing.

Your right about GOOG on that close. I will watch is closely and close it out. Looks like it broke a trendline. I will give it a percent or two and that's it.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I too like the wind plays. I am holding off on this ETF though as a lot of these large foreign wind plays are sporting rather high valuations. If it falls to 25 or so they valuation will be in line.

The wind plays in Europe have been around a lot longer than in North America. Most of the stocks in the FAN index are available on the Pink sheet here. I pulled up a few charts and they look extended. Best to you.

I was looking at AAPL with my Tradestation account. Tradestation shows the Daily EMA 34 at 178.28. They show the weekly at 160.61 (probably Niko's target). Could you let me know what you system shows. I hate bad data as I'm sure you do to.

Picked up some FCX and CCJ .
Still holding RIG and DO from the other day. Maybe they will come to life with the OIH moving like a rocket.
