How are you defining pivot high? From pivot points or something else?

If from PPs, which one? There are at least two (R1, R2) above the central PP. Need more clarity on what you are asking for before folks can help.

Perhaps this?

1. Close is less then most recent pivot point high for 3 (maybe 4 or more would work better) OR MORE days. This means it could be down 3 days, 4 days, 5 days etc. as long as its below recent pivot high and the moving averages are still stacked and sloped in an uptrend. This is the part I don't know how to code i.e. 3 or more days below the recent pivot point high while still having the 20ma above the 50MA and 20MA and 50MA above the 200MA

Fetcher[
set{pphigh, pp 5 day high}
close below pphigh
ma(20) above ma(50)
ma(50) above ma(200)

draw pphigh on plot price
]

Have you any backtesting that indicates this approach provides a tradeable "edge" over just buying SPY?

Not much that is clearer than this:

Renko chart for ENPH

No indicator needed at all. Go long when the blocks are in an uptrend, go short when they are in a downtrend. It is a shame SF does not support this chart type.

CRVS - opened at $6.41, currently $6.17 (+3.7%). Nothing outstanding, but easy money.

Paper trade so let's just let it run til the end of the day.

Looking at this filter I'm not sure if a BUY signal is generated, versus it being an assessment of a direction and strength. I get that each of these filter components is often used as a direction or trending indicator. I'm guessing that the sum of these is designed to provide a broad assessment of the current trend.

One could scale in and out based on signal strength. Backtesting that would be a serious pain, though.

The SF syntax here needs to be modified to make sure it works as you want:

"Note:

When using the +DI or -DI inside set statements, you'll want to use PDI (for +DI) and MDI (for -DI)."

use weekly pdi(14) and weekly mdi(14) when referencing these indicators within a user defined function (e.g., the set{} statement).

2. set{dp, draw_down3 ^ draw_down3}

Nope - this raises draw_down3 to the power of draw_down3, not squaring it (unless by chance draw_down3 = 2)

Either use

(draw_down3)^2 or

draw_down3 * draw_down3
