General Discussion · how can I screen for tails?
msg #26346

You'll need two separate filters for this. One for up days and another for down days.

Up Days:
open minus low is more than 100 above close minus open
and close is above open
add column open minus low
add column close minus open

Down Days:
close minus low is more than 100 above open minus close
and open is above close
add column close minus low
add column open minus close

We're looking to add a Head/Tail/Body measure to simplify this query as well as eliminate the need for two separate filters. Also, we are definitely looking into the "Or" clause which would allow the combination of these.

We just fixed the problem with finding stocks that listed under AMEX. The filter should now work:

Fetcher[show stocks where market is AMEX]

- defchca -

We're looking into support for VCX. We'll keep you posted on this.

- clputnam -

We're also looking into a filter for BB stocks.

Announcements · New Feature: Customizable Primary Plot Height

We've just added the ability to customize the height of the primary plot.

To customize, visit the Settings section and select "Primary Plot Size".

The plot height can also be customized by using the phrase "primary-plot-size is ###". For example:

Fetcher[find stocks where price is above MA(20) and draw MA(10) and draw MA(30) and primary-plot-size is 350]

Thanks for the feedback! We think we've discovered the problem. When you have a chance, try that link again and let us know if you still see the problem. The problem should be resolved now.

Announcements · New Phrase: Add Column

Take a look at the "Chart Settings". From there you can quickly add columns to your results table. You'll quickly notice that almost all of the indicators can be added as a column.

We probably should have called it "Chart and Results Settings". :)

General Discussion · Request for feedback on charts
msg #386

Hey all,

We've had a number of requests to improve our charts. Below is an example including some slight modifications:
  • Remove grey background.
  • Increase size of primary plot

What else can we do to improve things?

Post your comments and suggestions here and we'll try to get a new version up and running in the next couple of weeks!

    First off -

I wanted to thank everyone for the great feedback! We have plans to implement a number of the feature requests. Keep the feedback coming.

I wanted to pass along a couple of recent improvements. The flash charts now display the Open/High/Low/Close values for each of the dates as you hover over the chart with the cursor. Also, we've moved the powered-by logo to hopefully prevent any clobbering with legend items.
