If I tell you I have to kill you, your cat, your dog, wife and girlfriend. I'll let the kids be.

Just kidding.
I am using about 3 hot filters all posted here in SF.

I would like to partner with any of you who are willing to jump on board.

This is what I would like to do...I can front you me screened list to date. After that you are on your own in terms of adding new filtered stocks but we can share the list from time to time or take turns maintaining "THE LIST".

Let's back test a few of our favorate filters and get feedback as to which of these might be the best to work with.

I have determined that working with prime stocks such as what this IBD screening method provides makes a big difference to start with. A lot of the good filters here yield good results on these stocks. What's also interesting is that if a few filters put out the same set of stocks from "THE LIST" then you can be rest assured that these are tradeable stocks for the moment. Good money management comes in to play at all times, of course.

Check this out! I just started trading options seriously for the past few months and I am cheap! Right now I trade $5,000 per trade using my system. I quit when I reach 20% profit which takes anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks, that's close to $1,000 profit per trade.

I repeat this 2-4 times per month which yields $2,000 - $4,000 extra income per month.

From a geometric projection the initial $5,000 turns into $6,000 which turns into $7,000 which turns into $8, 20% profit on incrementally higher trading amount gives you higher and higher profit. Yes, there will be a few losing trades but if you set your stop loss good enough according to my system you win more than you lose and always end up with profit monthly.

I use this to payoff credit cards, pay down car notes, accelerate payments on mortgage. Should be debt free in about 10 years. This is how we build wealth....set up a system to provide extra income, apply it to a debt redcution program, Good budget plan, Save.

Too lame for some of you? That's o.k. but I am not the one losing $10's of $1,000's of dollars with a sloppy system.

Let me know if you are game and want to partner with me. This could be fun!!

Thanks for sharing.

Do you use out-of-money, near-the-money, deep-in-the-money or any specific spread for the trades?

IBD100 does have most of the stocks with the citeria use select (may be I am wrong). Why you don't use IBD100 against stockfecther filters that you use?

I typically trade near or at the money. It is true that IBD100 has most of the stocks on my list but I filter down to optionable stocks and price greater than $50 at the very outset on my list. Secondly, some of the criteria I use IBD100 don't include. The IBD100 list is a great list to trade but you would have to shake out some of the low priced, low volume stocks.

...Also, For Hi volatility stocks I use Credit Spread (Bull put or Bear call) Spreads < 30 days to expire. For expensive stocks with low volatility I use Debit Spreads (Bull call or Bear put). For Stocks that have a history of moving greatly near Earnings date (Like RIMM) I use Straddle or Strangle. For the most part I just trade straight calls or puts.

Cool info on trading different option strategies.

How you judge high implied volatility and low volatility mechanically. I mean implied volatility above or below?

Which options trading brokerage you use?

Sounds interesting...

I've always believed teamwork gets you much further down the road :) That said, I've currently got a subscription to VectorVest I could offer towards helping to potentially further refine "THE LIST" if it helps...

As for filters, I've been working for some time on a couple that show some promise, but I'd prefer to see solid real-world results before offering them for anything beyond personal consumption. On that note, you alluded to a couple you were currently using, could these possibly be two of them?

Just curious :)

I use (Platinum subscription) to check on implied volatiliy on the options that I trade. Also use this to help play the best options spread and for backtesting etc. Can't do without it.

No! I am not using these filters you referred to and am no way affiliated with MaryforMoney although I have spoken with him on a few occasions and studied some of his methods.

I also have a subscription to VectorVest which I use to develop another list. I also use it to check on VST ratings etc. Lets get togher and trade screening techniques. I have a few.

Well, here is my list of filters I use on my IBD filtered list. I DO NOT take credit for developing these filters. I am greatful to those who posted these filters here.

These filters seem to work just fine. I believe they are giving me constant winners for 2 main reason. The Market is HOT and I am using quality stocks from my IBD screening methods mentioned above in this thread. It will be intersting to see which filters hold up when the Market gets bullish.

The filtered stocks from these filters are emailed to me end of day by enabling this function in SF. Just click on the email icon next to each filter you would like to use.

I further analyse each filtered stock by looking at their graphs, identify Support and Resistance Levels, Use Fib Retracements to help Identify Target Profit, Stop Losses, designate Profit loss at -50% of entry cost, use to enter my Target price and Stop loss Price as email alerts sent to my pager (or cell phone)....and I am good. All trades neatly packaged and almost automatic. I may glance at the tades at end of day but try to stay disciplined in that I don't take action until my beeper goes off ----if you know what I mean. I may decide to take profit at 20% and call it a day.

O.k. guys, I have really given you a lot of my secrets. There might be a tiny bit of last minute secret strategy I use to for sure entry on each trade but that's for next time.

HEY TRO. If you are following this thread can you through a brother a bone and give me a hint as to what your breakout bounce strategy is? This may put the icing on the cake.

Enough said. Here is the list. Don't forget to thank me.

PS: Some of these filters may appear under different names in SF.

No offense intended, Danglin, as I said just askin'...Thanks for sharing the filters you were referring to :)

As for potentially collaborating, sounds good to me, not to sound like a broken record. Let me know how you'd like to proceed. In the meantime, I'll look at the filters you posted and look a little deeper into the technicals of the more promising candidates...

While we are talking subscriptions services does anyone use or subscript to PerfectStockAlert? I'm sure everyone use different tools such as IBD, Vector Vest, Quicken, etc. And I'm sure that it will come down to its not the tool but how you trade thread will come in but I'm interested in the tool/s and what people's opions are.
