I've noticed when backtesting a filter, that stocks are bought on the same day. For example, Stock picks for April 20 are potentials for April 21, but in the backtesting results, they are bought (trigger date) on the 20th.
Does anybody know a way around this?
Thanks

glider,
I think the 'trigger' date is just the day that the filter found the stock to purchase. If it says the trigger date is 4/20, the price used will actually be to open price from 4/21.

cjust,
I checked it out and you're correct. Thanks for the advice.

Is there a way to trigger the backtesting start for the same day as the trigger date? If I set up some kind of parameter where the open is below close 1 day ago, I would like to see the results in my backtesting for the first day? Thank you.
