I'm in on the DIS trade ... credit of $1.80
Greg, do you recommend putting in an order to buy back the pair at say $1 and leave it open ... or do you just play it by ear?

Because program trading dominates more than 70% of all daily activity on both the NYSE and NASDAQ, any high-volume, downside penetration of the 2,600 mark for the S&P will invite a 100-200 point sell-off for that benchmark index. Such an event could happen very quickly because of how these computer-generated sell programs can feed on themselves.

vol has already came out for the weekend. Went from about flat on the day before lunch to nice profit for the day.
Options account that is...
Still need to get theta numbers up. Too low right now. Short overall portfolio delta.

I have you in XLE and DIS, please confirm.
I put in profit target orders as GTC for 40% and let them rest. If they hit a short strike I consider managing the trade. For instance we rolled the HD put up to the call strike or a strangle into a straddle (not that names matter) when it took off like a rocket. If at 21 DTE I am not profitable, I'll roll out. If I have a profit I'll close it and see if it warrants another trade and 'recenter/reset' strikes. May sound complicated but its not.
This allows you to stay in the game per se. Will you win or scratch them all, no. But you will have to determine that threshold of pain. I've been rolling XRT since November. All I need is a little down move and I'll be out for a scratch. I need about $1 back and my delta is -.81 in the trade. But in retrospect I probably should have taken a small loss on this one and redeployed capital. IV is low in it now. These types of trades happen every once in a while and rarely in ETFs. But they do happen.
I'm not perfect. :)

Correct, I am in XLE and DIS currently. I'll keep watching the board.
I have a couple of other option plays on the go, but they are directional where I am call selling and put selling. Some i'm rolling out weekly. A few are expiring worthless today ... which is good ...
