Accumulation Swing Index (ASI)

Parametersnone
UsageAccumulation Swing Index
ASI
DescriptionDeveloped by Welles Wilder, the Accumulation Swing Index (ASI) is the cumulative total of the Swing Index. Wilder's intent with this measure is to determine true market behind the stock's activity and attempts to determine the actual strength and direction of the stock.

Since the ASI mirrors price activity, it can often be used to help verify break-outs as well as changes in direction.
